LOVE STORIES
I was able to photograph some wonderful love stories recently and wanted to share some of my favourite images.
It’s still funny to me that in the beginnings of my journey as a photographer, I didn’t love portraying couples and families. Today, I truly enjoy getting to share these moments with people. Maybe because I don’t do it as much? There’s more variation to my work these days. Obviously, the majority of the things I share are featuring people, but I’ve come to realize that I love keeping myself and my creativity on their toes. I think this applies to everything in life: too much of the same thing will ruin it. We need balance.
For years, I remember everyone telling me: “You have to find your niche. If you don’t specialize in one thing, nobody will trust your skill…..” I didn’t agree then, and I don’t agree now. Sure, there are people who LOVE one thing and literally do not want to do anything else. However, I thrive on variety. Always exploring new things, getting better at more things each time — I am more creative if I get various input. If I get to be more creative, I get better results. Imagine I only stuck to one thing! I would die of boredom after a while and the results would show it.
Without further ado, here are a few of my favourite (recent) love stories:
ps: thank you to all the wonderful humans who agreed to be featured here <3 i appreciate you
